    This position is responsible for Advanced Clinical (“AC”) accounting and month-end close activities which include journal entries, accruals, prepaids, expense reporting, billing, budget vs. actual, timekeeping, and account reconciliations. In addition, Clinical Research activities (tracking Site activity, Site payments, and vendor payment management) are assigned.


    • Conduct month-end financial closing procedures including general and accrual journal entries and systems closes.
    • Reconcile accounts, prepare journal entries, and providing other accounting support to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting closes.
    • Assist in budget planning, preparation, and finalization.
    • Review, analyze, and report on time tracking activities in comparison to budget and project plans. Provide timekeeping (eRecruit) assistance to AC personnel.
    • Assist in the preparation, analysis, and distribution of monthly financial statements including Budget vs. Actual, and management reports with accompanying schedules including but not limited to sales, revenue, expenses, forecasts, metrics, Site activity, and vendor payments.
    • Support major financial projects such as year-end financial close, audit, tax, and budget preparation.
    • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data. Assist department in identifying and implementing ongoing process improvements.
    • Interact with individuals at all levels within AC and within client organizations.

    • Candidate must demonstrate positive attitude and attention to detail. Excellent communication and organization skills are essential. Must multi-task and learn new tasks quickly, and be a self-motivator. This position will be responsible for handling highly confidential information (i.e., salary and patient data) – discretion is necessary.
    • Education – A Bachelor’s degree is required; preferably in Accounting.
    • Training – Not applicable.
    • Certification – None required; CPA a plus.
    • Experience – 1 – 2+ years accounting experience. Advanced knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel. Experience with Great Plains or equivalent general ledger systems is mandatory.
